
See 4-H On Display at the Ulster County Fair In New Paltz, New York
The Ulster County Fair will be held August 1st through the 6th at the Ulster County Fair Ground on Libertyville Road in New Paltz. Each day of the fair offers something exciting for the entire family.
The Ulster County Fairs pay one-price tickets get you free parking, and free entertainment including the evening entertainers on the main stage. You also get free rides. The fair runs daily Tuesday from 4 PM to 10 PM, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 AM to 10 PM, Friday and Saturday from 10 AM to 11 PM, and Sunday from 10 AM to 8 PM.

Rides, food, and fun are all part of the fair experience but something you don't want to miss while attending the Ulster County Fair is all of the agricultural exhibits including the 4H Milkshakes. From Rabbits to vegetables to antique tractors and machinery.

You can start your fair experience with a visit to the Agricultural Museum. That is where you can see a variety of antique machines running like they are brand new. This can be a fun exhibit for people who have only known machines that are run by electricity and computers.
Then once you have enjoyed a rider or two make sure to get yourself a refreshing 4H Milkshake to sip on while you tour the barns and exhibit halls full of all the hard work the local 4H has done along with others in the community that have an agricultural green thumb.

Don't miss the Wool Room with spinning and weaving right in front of you then on to the hall where Hudson Valley growers are showing off what they have been able to grow in their home gardens. Every day there are 4-H activities on the calendar where the 4-H participant gets to show accomplishments.
Tractor Competitions, dog obedience, dairy, goat, sheep, and more. Every day at the fair there is something happening at the 4-H hall. On Sunday they hold the 4-H Awards ceremony which is a wonderful time to highlight all the kids have accomplished.
So ride the rides, eat your fill of fair goodies, enjoy Lee Greenwood, The Kentucky Headhunters, Thompson Square, and more but whatever you do don't leave the fair without stopping in to see all the Ulster County Agriculture being celebrated at this year's fair.
