A third man was arrested for his alleged plan to kidnap and murder a Hudson Valley man in order to obtain a religious divorce for his wife.

Binyamin Gottlieb, 33, a divorce mediator from Monsey, was arrested by the FBI at Kennedy Airport, the New York Post reports.

Officials say he was trying to flee to Ukraine for his alleged involvement in the murder and kidnap scheme.

Last week, Shimen Liebowitz, 25, of Monroe and 55-year-old Aharon Goldberg of Bnei Brak, Israel, were arrested by the FBI in Central Valley while allegedly meeting to plan a kidnapping and murder.

Liebowitz and Goldberg are accusing of contacting an unnamed person to kidnap an intended victim and kill him to help the victim’s wife get a divorce. The unnamed individual then contacted the FBI.

According to Jewish religious law, in certain communities, a women can only get divorced if her husband consents or dies.

Prosecutors say Gottlieb introduced Liebowitz and Goldberg with the hit man. Gottleib is also accused of delivering $25,000 to the hit man. The father of five also allegedly discussed with the hit man ways to get the victim to Puerto Rico.

Gottlieb was held without bail.
