How Much Do You Spend at The Movie Theater?

Think about the last time you went to the movies. What did you see? More importantly how much did it cost you?

My cousin and I went to see the Nicole Kidman movie Babygirl (don't judge, everyone was talking about it!) earlier this year.

2 tickets, plus popcorn, 2 drinks and a box of candy cost us well over $60, probably more if we actually find the receipts. A statistics website called The Numbers, explains that while movie ticket prices differ by state, in 2024 the average price for a movie ticket in the U.S. was $11.31.

It's based off of the number of tickets sold and the total box office numbers.

Do you remember how much a movie ticket cost back in the day? A Suffern, New York movie theater is reminding us with a unique celebration.
