Upstate, New York Animal Boarding Facility Under Investigation

The Washington County Sherriff's Office has announced that Anastasia's Acres Dog Boarding facility is currently under investigation.

Anastasia's Acres, according to their website, has been serving the Capital Region since 2020. The Argyle, New York kennel boasts on their website that they provide "the very best pet care for dogs, cats and other pets as well."

Run by the Paulis family, Anastasia's Acres is a 3-acre homestead.

Anastasia Palulis, the founder, grew up in  Siberia and went on to study Animal Husbandry in college.

With that being said, the Washington County Sherriff's Office was called to the kennel with disturbing intel.

21 Dogs Found Dead at Argyle, NY Dog Kennel

A press release from the Washington County Sherriff's Office details a heartbreaking scene at the Upstate, New York boarding facility.

The Sherriff's Office writes "the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was called to Anastasia’s Acres Dog Boarding in the Town of Argyle, Washington County, for a report of deceased dogs at the facility."

When officers arrived on the scene they "determined that 21 dogs in total were found deceased."

There was 1 dog found alive and taken to an emergency animal clinic for care. Additionally, there was a vet on scene "assisting investigators along with the Animal Control Officers for the Town of Argyle."

The Washington County Sheriff's Office goes on to say:

The owners of Anastasia’s Acres are cooperating with the Sheriff’s Office and the investigation.
