May 2nd Would Have Been Derby Day
Last month due to the COVID 19 outbreak we learned that the 146th Annual run for the roses The Kentucky Derby would be postponed from May 2nd to September 5th. Basically moved from the first Saturday in May, it's traditional date to the first Saturday in September.
Typically next Saturday a lot of us would have made our annual trip to OTB. We would have made a few friendly bets around the office. And by 5:30 PM we would have been sitting in front of the TV listening to back stories on all the amazing horses that were scheduled to run. Now we will instead like other sports fans we will wait. At least we have a date unlike baseball fans.
In honor of the Derby next weekend we have posted a gallery of winners from the past few years. Do you remember which ones actually won the Triple Crown?
