Not Your Average Haunted House Hidden in Schenectady, NY
If you’re bored of the usual haunted house or hayride this Halloween, Zombie Zips in Schenectady is here to jolt you awake.
Every Friday and Saturday night in October, Mountain Ridge Adventure transforms into a zombie-infested nightmare from 7 PM to 10 PM
Your evening starts with a creepy “welcome” from a corpse guide, leading you through a forest filled with suspicious shadows and lurking dangers. But that’s just the warm-up.
You’re then strapped into a harness, hoisted up into the trees, and launched into the darkness. You’ll zip hundreds of feet through the eerie night, truly alone—except for the occasional zombie lying in wait at the landing platform.
With ten zip lines to conquer, there’s no telling how often the undead will meet you. It’s not for kids or the faint-hearted; this experience is all about pitch-black terror. But if you’re tired of predictable Halloween scares, Zombie Zips might be the thrill you need. Just be ready to scream and maybe beg for mercy by the time you’re done.
During the rest of the year, Mountain Ridge Adventure’s Zip Line Park still serves up a wild ride. It spans a 500-foot gorge with three levels of passes—so you can customize your level of bravery (or insanity).
It’s a rain-or-shine adventure unless there’s thunder or lightning, so arrive 20 minutes early. And yes, changing clothes might be a good idea—they offer diapers, and that’s only half a joke.
Tickets are limited, so book soon if you’re brave enough for this unforgettable Halloween experience.
