You gotta watch those sock monkeys!

A Washington state seamstress who makes and sells customized sock monkeys on-line, was getting ready to board a plan in St. Louis, when a TSA agent asked what was in her bag. Upon inspection, Rooster Monkburn, a sock monkey based on the John Wayne character from True Grit, with full cowboy gear including a prop gun no bigger than a few quarters, was discovered. The TSA agent confiscated the "gun" and threatened to call the police, stating that it could be confused with a real gun.

According to Seattle's King 5 news, Phyliss May said “Rooster Monkburn has been disarmed so I’m sure everyone on the plane was safe,” she said. “I understand she was doing her job but at some point doesn’t common sense prevail?” I couldn't have said it better myself!
