Woman Stole Car Left Running in Dunkin’ Parking Lot, Police Say
Monticello Police responded to a 5:55 AM report of a stolen vehicle on Saturday morning in the parking lot of Dunkin' Donuts on Jefferson Street in the village. The vehicle had been left running while unattended.
Two hours later, Sullivan County Sheriff's Deputies located the vehicle on Basket Brook Road in Long Eddy. Deputies say the vehicle had been crashed by Kelly M. Mistler. Mistler was turned over to Monticello Police and charged with felony grand larceny in the third degree and misdemeanor aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree.
In addition to the charges levied by the Monticello Police, Sullivan County Sheriff's Deputies charged Mistler with felony criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree.
