Wolf Pets of the Week With the Dutchess County SPCA

There's so many great pets in the Hudson Valley looking for their 'furever' homes and this week the Dutchess County SPCA is highlighting the following cuties. If you want information on any of these pets, or would like to arrange a tour of their facilities, please call 845-452-7722.

Meet Barney.

Barney has lived with another car in his previous home, so he wouldn't mind having another one in his new home. He would love to be close to you wherever you are, maybe even a lap cat!

This is Bud.

Meet Bud! This super friendly boy will be sure to melt your heart as he gives you endless kisses. Whether he's playing with toys, going for a walk, or just hanging out with you on the couch, this love-bug will be the perfect sidekick!

Say hi to Tina.

Tina is a beautiful long-haired girl, who is a sweet as can be. She hasn't lived with other cats before, but they might be ok with her! She loves to play, especially toys on a string or with feathers, and has been an indoor/outdoor cat, all depending on the weather.

This is Vinny.

Vinny's perfect day would be sleeping on the couch with his new family snoring the day away! He has lots of kisses and love if given the chance. He just may snort if he likes you.

Here's Sofia.

If you're looking for a side kick in your life, Sofia is your girl. She likes to keep an eye on what everyone is doing, but she can also be independent and keep herself busy playing and being curious. She would also love to spend some time purring away on your lap.

Meet Chai.

Chai is a little shy at first, but once he gets to know you, he's ready to play! A perfect day would be going for a walk or playing fetch and then coming home to be with my people. At the end of the day, Chai would be content to cuddle up at home.

This is Mitsy.

Mitsy is independent and likes to spent time by herself, but she also loves people, she just won't be on top of them all of the time. You'll most likely find her sleeping in the sun or looking out the window at the birds and squirrels. If you're looking for a friendly cat without the constant need for attention, Mitsy is your girl.

Here's Buddy.

Meet Buddy the beagle! His perfect day would be going for a walk in the nice weather, laying on the couch with his family watching TV and playing with some of his favorite toys! He is a little hard of hearing, but he's ready to be your guy!

This is Star.

Star is very active and talkative. Star doesn't always need someone to play with and can find many ways to stay occupied, but Star would love a family to play with.

Meet Lucas, he's a leash walking superstar! A perfect day for Lucas would start with a game of fetch in the park, followed by a play date with his doggie friends, and finish curled up on the couch with you and his favorite snack - peanut butter!
