For the better part of a year, we've all been feeling unsure.

If future Jess would have visited Jess in March of 2020 and told me everything that went down, I would 100% think that it was some sort of weird fever dream. There is no way that we would be fighting a pandemic for 9 months with no end in sight, right?

Obviously, we figured that was all very true.

With so many lives changed by the COVID-19 pandemic, we had no idea how the holiday season would go here at The Wolf. But we did know one thing... that we would do whatever we could to bring back The CJ and Jess Wolf Holiday Express.

CJ, Paty, and I got together and came up with the idea to make The Holiday Express a drive-thru experience. We wanted to be mindful of COVID safety measures, but still be able to bring some cheer to children of the Hudson Valley during the holidays.

Once again we teamed up with our friends at the Salvation Army in Poughkeepsie to bring toys to families in need this year.

We had no idea how things would pan out because we understood that this year was hard on a lot of us. At the end of the day, Wolf listeners and Hudson Valley residents are some of the most giving people around.

We received hundreds of toys in a short 2-day span at our studio at 2 Pendell Road in Poughkeepsie. Had a visit from our friends over at Snipers in Kingston. Those ladies have been with us since the very beginning of The Holiday Express. Ray and Betsy of Merrit Florist in Cornwall dropped off a huge haul of toys. Greg and Josie of the Dutchess County McDonald's locations stopped by with a bunch of donations too.

Several listeners sent packages of donations to us leading up to our drive-thru Holiday Express as well. At the end of the day, 2 van loads filled with toys made their way to the Salvation Army.

CJ, Paty and I couldn't be more grateful but at the end of the day, it's the kids who will have lasting memories for years to come.

Thank you to all who have donated this year and in years past. We have the BEST listeners around and can't wait to get back to The CJ & Jess Wolf Holiday Express next year better than ever!

Happy Holidays!
