It's not uncommon for the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree to come from New York. The tree has come from the Hudson Valley in years past. According to Wikipedia, 16 of the Rockefeller Center Trees have come from the Hudson Valley.

2019 was the last year a Hudson Valley tree was chosen for the Big Show down in New York City. The 2019 tree was picked from Florida, New York and the year before that in 2018 a tree was chopped down for Rockefeller Center in Gardiner, New York.

The oldest Hudson Valley Rockefeller Center tree dates back to 1940 when it was picked in Hyde Park, New York.
