Where are the Best Hudson Valley Donuts?

Apple picking, pumpkin spice, Halloween. It's everything we love about fall. While all that is great we have to be honest with ourselves. The best part about fall are the freshly made apple cider donuts.

I know for fact that whenever I go to Barton Orchards in Poughquag, I leave with a dozen fresh donuts. Which had me thinking, where are the best fresh made donuts in the Hudson Valley? I'm talking authentic, local stores and markets. Obviously, Barton Orchards is on my list as well as Wilklow Orchards in Highland.

Koisner Donut Brothers, New Paltz: According to Yelp and their website, these brother's have more than just apple cider donuts. Rainbow Crunch, Blue Berry Glaze, Coconut Lime and Samoa! I'm thinking a road trip over the bridge is in order.

Daddy's Donuts, Middletown: Okay so these donuts are looking pretty extreme. And I mean that in the most complimentary way. You can find Almond Joy, Oreo and Banana Pudding flavored treats at this local donut stop. Not looking to get extreme? Don't worry, the folks at Daddy Donuts have your apple cider donut baked and waiting to be picked up.
