With people all around the globe horrified by the images out of Ukraine, some local residence banned together on Sunday for an Interfaith Prayer Vigil.

The Washington Council of Congregations all came together with one reason in mind, to pray for the people experiencing hell on earth in their battle with Russian troops in Ukraine. The interfaith prayer vigil was held on the lawn of the 1st Congregational Church in Washington, CT.

According to usa.com, there are some 50 thousand plus Ukrainian Americans living in Litchfield County, and the community came together to come pray, meditate and help support each other. The attendees said you could really feel helpless when a crisis is happening, and that prayer was needed for the community.

Pastor Robyn Gray was one of the organizers of the event in which some 75 people took part. Local New Milford singer, songwritter Dave King was also on hand and captured the event with these photos.
