Wappingers Falls, New York Animal Rescue Takes in 32 Frightened Dogs
A Wappingers Falls, New York animal rescue is welcoming over 25 dogs after lending a helping hand to a New York City rescue.
CARE of DC Assists in NYC Hoarding Case
Over the weekend Compassionate Animal Rescue Efforts of Dutchess County announced the addition of 32 dogs and puppies to their rescue.
According to their Facebook post, CARE explains that the dogs were saved from an awful hoarding situation in New York City. In the post, they write:
When Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC) reached out to us, we committed to 32 dogs, including a devoted momma dog and her 8 adorable puppies. These souls have been through a lot, and while some are understandably frightened, they're slowly finding comfort in our care.
CARE goes on to add that these dogs were living a life that they would like to "erase with warmth, care, and the promise of a future filled with love" but they need help in doing so.
How You Can Help CARE of DC and Their Rescue Pups
Like most animal rescues, CARE of DC is a No Kill non-profit pet adoption agency. They rely on donations from the community to give the animals they rescue a safe place to stay until they find their forever homes.
With that being said, with the addition of 32 new dogs and puppies CARE will need a little help getting them situated. The rescue shared a link to their Amazon wishlist for products they are in need of, like dog food and treats.
The new additions will also be getting spayed and neutered in the near future.
Monetary donations can be made to CAREofDC.org. If you're interested in adding a new furry friend to your family you can see all of the adoptable pets on their website and posted on social media.
