Numerous community members, retired police officers, and more participated in a recent walkout to celebrate a "highly dedicated" detective in East Fishkill, New York.

Police Detective Retires in East Fishkill, New York

The East Fishkill Police Department (EPD), along with retired officers, civilian staff, and officers from partnering agencies, all walked out last week to celebrate the retirement of Detective Sergeant Paul Gaston. EPD announced on Facebook, saying, "On March 28th, 2025, members of the East Fishkill Police Department stood alongside retired members, civilian staff, and officers from partnering agencies, for a walkout to celebrate the retirement of Detective Sergeant, Paul Gaston!"

Detective Sergeant Paul Gaston Retires

The post stated that Gaston dedicated 23 years of his life to service in the East Fishkill, NY community, "Throughout his 23 years of dedication and service to our community, Paul has been a pillar of professionalism and has had a lasting impact on his fellow officers and the countless lives he’s come into contact with over the many years." The agency ended its post, saying

"Although this was his last exit wearing a uniform, he will always be a part of our family-welcomed always. Thank you, Detective Sergeant Gaston, for your years of sacrifice and service. We wish you all the best in this next chapter of your life!"
