For almost 60 years Villa Roma, located at 356 Villa Roma Rd, Callicoon, NY was owned by Ernesto Vindigni. Back then the resort was much smaller with just over 40 hotel rooms, 10 cottages, a pool and two bocce courts according to its website. In 1969 a man named Marty Passante came along and along with a few investors purchased the property and turned it into a legendary New York resort.
