Remember When Usher Landed at a Wappingers Falls, NY Airport?

Before he was rollerblading around the Super Bowl Halftime stage, Usher was in the Hudson Valley.

Okay, so it was for a brief moment in 2021 but let us have our moment!

Usher Lands at Hudson Valley Airport

At this point we're used to A-list celebrities making the Hudson Valley a destination to escape the limelight, but it always amazes me how many big names roll through the area.

In October 2021, photos surfaced of R&B/Pop star Usher exiting a plane in Wappingers Falls, New York. The signer, and actor, landed at Hudson Valley Regional Airport and at the time we reached out to the team at Paula's Runway Cafe.

Paula Young-Borra, owner of Paula's Runway Cafe, shared a photo of the singer on the tarmac and gave us the inside scoop that October who explained:

He flew in by private jet on Saturday. The last one off the plane, he was on the tarmac for a minute and then was whisked away in an escalade, and flew back on Sunday. Apparently, he was working in the area.

After Usher landed rumour has it he went to perform at a wedding that was held somewhere in the Hudson Valley. If you were at that wedding we'd love to hear from you!

YEAH! The 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show Throws it Back with Usher

Fast forward 3 years later, and Usher is performing at a much bigger venue. On Sunday February 11th Usher hit the Apple Music Halftime stage and gave one hell of a throwback performance.

He kicked his performance off with "Caught Up" and performed an amazing mix of his hits new and old. Of course, he had to wrap up his set with a star-studded performance of his most well-known song...Yeah! Ludacris, Lil Jon and Jermain Dupree all made an appearance for a performance of a lifetime:

Another A-Lister Lands at Hudson Valley Regional Airport?

Hudson Valley Regional Airport is used to the celeb fly by. I remember hearing years ago, John Travolta used to land at the Wappingers Falls, airport.

Late last year the town was buzzing after there were reports that Taylor Swift landed at the Dutchess County-based airport.

It wouldn't shock us if it did, Taylor does have strong ties to the Hudson Valley. We heard reports that the claims weren't true because the superstar singer was on her way to see Travis Kelce play in Kansas City.

But hey, ya never know!
