Upstate, New York Car Dealership Goes Viral With Hilarious TikTok

When you think of viral trends and TikTok videos, you probably think of an influencer doing the latest trendy dancing trend.

There are other ways for videos to go viral besides silly dances, and it looks like an Upstate New York car dealership is tipping its hat to a popular television show and TikTok watchers are loving it.

Mohawk Valley Chevy Channels The Office

On June 21st, 2024 a video was posted by Mohawk Valley Chevrolet in Ballston Spa, New York. It wasn't their first video posted to TikTok, however, this one launched their social media account into orbit.

The video was called "The Dealership" and emulated the classic NBC series The Office. In the episode Grace, who we believe is in charge of marketing or at least that's what we gather from the videos, is "Ducking" her co-workers around the dealership giving off Michael Scott vibes.

Episode 1 of The Dealership garnered 151.7K views.

The Dealership Goes Viral

After episode 1 on TikTok, the Mohawk Valley Chevy TikTok account took off. By Episode 6, "Lemme Drive The Rado," they collected 2.5 million views.

It's laugh-out-loud funny and the TikTok world agrees. Comments range from "Never fire this marketing team" to "I would 100% watch a show called "The dealership" in this style."

Even the official Chevrolet account had something to say, writing:

Watch out, Hollywood

This could be a huge opportunity for the Upstate, New York dealership. Could a nationwide commercial be in their future? Maybe a Super Bowl ad?!

We recently came across a viral video that took a lighthearted and fun approach to "Life in the ADKS." It's been circulating for weeks and we think it's worth sharing!

Is life in the Adirondacks all that different from life in say, Albany, Schenectady, or Saratoga Springs? We say, "Yes!"

Even though most cities in the Capital Region are less than an hour away, anyone who's spent a decent amount of time in the North Country knows that certain conveniences that many might take for granted, don't exist throughout the 5,000 square miles of dense forest and high peaks that comprise the mighty ADKS.
