Unfortunately, it's another day and another animal abuse case.

The Daily Freeman is reporting that a Plattekill woman was charged on Thursday, December 8th, with animal neglect. The Ulster County SPCA took in nine animals at the residence of Marianna Greco, 59. She was charged with nine counts of failure to provide proper sustenance and nine more counts on for failure to provide food and water to an impounded animal. Both charges are misdemeanors under New York States Agriculture and Markets Law. She was ticketed to appear at Plattekill Town Court at a later date.

The SPCA is quoted as saying that Greco kept the animals in her home in "deplorable conditions." The animals were subjected to garbage, animal waste and debris. Five dogs and four cats were siezed from the residence and are being kept at the Ulster County SPCA on Weidy Road.
