Two Hudson Valley prison inmates have been charged with possessing dangerous and sharp objects.

The New York State Police, at Catskill, and the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision announced the arrests of two NYS DOCCS Inmates for charges stemming from incidents that occurred within the Greene Correctional Facility.

23-year-old Mackeznie Winnie was arrested for 1 count of 1st-degree promoting prison contraband, a class D felony. State Police say while confined in the prison, Winnie was found to be in the possession of dangerous contraband consisting of a shank type metal cutting weapon.

Also while confined to the Greene Correctional Facility, authorities say 21-year-old Christopher Seelbaugh was in possession of a sharpened can lid cutting weapon. Sealbaugh was also charged with 1st-degree promoting prison contraband, a class D felony

Both defendants were brought before the County Court of Greene County after the cases were presented to the Grand Jury by the Greene County District Attorney’s office, which resulted in sealed indictments.

Both were arrested and arraigned at Greene County Court Judge. Both were remanded back to the custody of NYS DOCCS pending further court proceeding and were to return at a later date.
