It is time to have some fun and raise some money. St. Joseph's Catholic Church  is holding a Penny Social at the church hall this Saturday January 26th. The doors open at 10:30 and the calling will get underway by 12 noon. This annual fundraiser is held by the Columbiettes, the women's branch of the Knight's of Columbus. Admission is free and refreshment will be available.

Lots of wonderful items have been donated in the hopes that lots of funds will be raised. A 50/50 drawing will be held and there will be lots of gift certificate chances available. The large selection means there is plenty for everyone to win and something that everyone will want to win.

This weekend's Penny Social is the largest fundraiser for the Columbiettes. It helps support all the charitable work they do for the parish at St. Joseph's, plus it supports activities both in the local community and beyond. They encourage everyone to come and bring your friends. Even if you don't walk away a winner you will have won by helping a group that does so much for so many in the community.

Not that they will need it with this weekend's weather forecast but they have schedule a snow date for Sunday January 2th at 1pm with calling at 2pm.

Hopefully you can make it and go home with some amazing prizes. St. Joseph's Church is located at 34 South Chestnut Street in New Paltz. Parking is available in and around the church. You can also find parking close by in New Paltz Municipal parking lots.
