Three Teens Arrested in Alleged Residential Burglary Attempt

The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office is reporting the arrest of three teens in connection with a residential burglary in the Town of Pine Plains Sunday afternoon after receiving a call about a burglary in progress, with the suspects possibly still on the scene.

The Patrol Deputies and Detectives quickly located all three suspects and took them into custody, and further investigation showed that they were allegedly stealing items from the house bringing them to a nearby vehicle, according to the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office. The press release identified two of the three suspects as  Zachary S. Dam, age 18 of Gallatin, NY and  Bryce A. Hay, age 18 of Pine Plains, NY. The third suspect is only 16 and it is our policy to not disclose the identity of those under the age of 18.

The Dutchess County Sheriff's Office reports that all three suspects have been charged with Burglary in the 2nd degree, which is a felony.
