This Weekend is the Woodstock New Paltz Art and Craft Fair

There are so many wonderful things to do this holiday weekend throughout the Hudson Valley. One of my favorites is the annual Woodstock New Paltz Art & Crafts Fair at the Ulster County Fair Grounds. Every year for Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends an amazing group of artisans visit New Paltz and bring their original works to show and sell. Photographers, Potters, Painters, Weavers and more all under big shady tents throughout the fair grounds.

There are over 300 juried artists and crafters for the weekend, plus other wonderful things to see and buy. If you are looking for original art and craft this show can't be missed. I walk around each year discovering new artisans and grabbing up one of a kind items.Even if you think "I don't like art" you will like this event. It will inspire your inner artist even if you think you don't have one.

There is an admission fee but it is definitely worth the price just to see all that these wonderfully talented people have to offer. They even have a supervised child area so bring the family, children under 12 are free.. Dogs must stay home.

The show is Saturday 10 to 5:30, Sunday 10 to 5:30 and Monday 10 to 4. Make time to see this great collection of artists. Once you have been it will become a holiday weekend tradition.
