Nashville was clearly the place to be on Tuesday. Some of Country musics finest got together for the ACM Honors at the Rhyman Auditorium. The event, hosted by Jake Owen, honored those in country music from singers, Carrie Underwood was awarded the Gene Weed Special Achievement award, to songwriters.

One songwriter in particular was given quiet the award. Shane McAlley recieved the Songwriter of the Year Award and in honor of his work, Kacey Musgraves, Hillary Scott (of Lady A) and Kelly Clarkson hit the stage and performed their hits, which we're penned by McAlley.
