Our recent guests on In Touch were the cast of Sender the current show running at the Denizen Theatre in New Paltz. We spoke with them about both the play and the work that the theater is doing in the community. The Denizen is a non-profit theater that is striving to bring live professional theater to the Hudson Valley region in a black box format. The productions are provocative and thoughtful. They work to bring relevant topics to the conversation using live theater as the vehicle.
Sender is a play written by Ike Holter and directed by Martine Kei Green-Rogers. The 4 person cast takes on the topic of Adulting which is the idea of growing up and learning to accept responsibility for yourself. It is described as "a wild and hilariously funny exploration of the pain of accepting adulthood and taking responsibility for our own live"
Theatre box office hours are Wednesday - Saturday: Noon - 5 PM and an hour prior to performances along with Sundays: Noon - 2 PM for information and tickets call (845) 303-4136. The Denizen Theatre is located at Water Street Market 10 Main Street New Paltz.
