I first shared the news about The Bakery being closed the day they announced that they had a flood and posted to their social media it might be a while before they could reopen. That was January 24th, 2025. Today The Bakery shared pictures of the damage in the shop.

No Valentine's Treats From The Bakery in New Paltz Due to Temporary Closure

If you were hoping to get a sweet treat for your Valentine from one of the Sweetest places in New Paltz which is also known for being the Halloween home of the Night of 100 Pumpkins, you are out of luck. From the pictures that were shared, which are now not available it looks like it is going to be a while before The Bakery can reopen.

Earlier today someone had shared photos of the work being done inside the bake shop on North Front Street in New Paltz with a message about hoping to open soon. That post has now been removed.

I am holding out hope for them that they will be able to get things back in order in time for St. Patrick's Day. Last year's goodies look so good.

The first weekend The Bakery was closed for repairs a new bakery opened up in the Town of New Paltz. The Little Loaf Bakeshop is located at 218 Main in New Paltz. They celebrated the grand opening the last week in January and so far people are loving this place which is known for it vegan choices.
