I hear people all the time say, "I want to run a marathon"  or "I would like to try and do a 5k"  but they usually never actually follow thru with it.

Now is the time to give it a go and help a great cause.

This Saturday is Rockland's 12 Annual Recovery Rally 5K Run/Walk for Recovery & Remembrance.

The event kicks off at 8am at Rockland Lake State Park and is hosted by RCADD and Friends of Recovery Rockland.

Registration begins a 7:15 and costs $35.

The run/walk is designed to help educate and support people affected by substance abuse disorders, educate that addiction is a disease but treatable and to celebrate lives of those that have gained and sustained their recovery.

This event is also to support those that have lost loved ones as well as those in recovery or those that have someone in recovery.

To register or for more information you can go HERE

Now is the time to challenge yourself, see if you can run the whole thing, try and best your time or just walk it with some old friends or new ones that you will be sure to make.
