Walkway Over the Hudson

From cool museums to amazing views, Dutchess County is full of fun things to check out.

When one of the Hudson Valley’s favorite landmarks starts scheduling fun events for the upcoming year, and it’s only January, I’m all for sharing the news.

The problem is that it’s been up and coming for 22 years. When does it actually get there?

There is something very cool about seeing your hometown on television. It’s even more exciting when you get to see places you’ve been and landmarks you’ve passed a million times.

We tend to look for ways to find comfort, and sometimes it helps to honor the memory of that loved one in a special way.

Have you checked out the view from the Mid Hudson Bridge or the Walkway Over the Hudson looking west toward Ulster County? In the height of fall foliage it’s a pretty spectacular sight.

I saw Leon Russell, Little Feat, Southside Johnny, Jimmy Cliff, Chuck Berry, and tons of other great bands at Poughkeepsie Riverfests through the years.
