When one of the Hudson Valley’s favorite landmarks starts scheduling fun events for the upcoming year, and it’s only January, I’m all for sharing the news.
There is something very cool about seeing your hometown on television. It’s even more exciting when you get to see places you’ve been and landmarks you’ve passed a million times.
Have you checked out the view from the Mid Hudson Bridge or the Walkway Over the Hudson looking west toward Ulster County? In the height of fall foliage it’s a pretty spectacular sight.
I saw Leon Russell, Little Feat, Southside Johnny, Jimmy Cliff, Chuck Berry, and tons of other great bands at Poughkeepsie Riverfests through the years.
A nearly $600,000 grant from New York will allow the Walkway Over the Hudson to install LED lighting to increases the hours the park is open to the public.
