Dutchess County Sherriff Kirk Imperati issues a warning to anyone planning on driving in Dutchess County this holiday weekend.

You may notice more law enforcement on Hudson Valley roadways leading into Thanksgiving and going through the weekend as part of a high visibility enforcement campaign to crack down on impaired driving.

There were 19 deaths by motor vehicle statewide during the Thanksgiving holiday in 2015. This year, the New York State Police are cracking down on DWI and distracted driving starting Wednesday.
