Stewart’s Shops Win Big at New York State Fair

The Autumn weather is creeping in which signifies the end of summer, but we're still reeling from fair season across the region and can now celebrate.

This year, a Hudson Valley favorite won big at the New York State Fair.

New York State Fair Holds Highly Competitive Dairy Contest

This year the New York State Fair ran from August 20th through September 1st. It's 13 days of family fun out in Syracuse, New York.

Every year the Cornell University College of Agriculture and the New York State Department of Agriculture host the "highly competitive" New York State Dairy Products contest.

There were 176 entries this year from different dairy producers across New York State.

Stewart's Shops Win Big at New York State Fair

In a press release shared on September 3rd, 2024, Stewart's Shops announced their big win at the New York State Fair in the Dairy Product contest.

For the third year in a row, Stewart's Shops won the category of Best Milk in New York State. They also took 1st place for Best Chocolate Milk and Best Flavored Milk.

But that's not all!

Stewart's Shops also took 1st place for Best Vanilla Ice Cream for their Philly Vanilla and 2nd place in the Chocolate Ice Cream category.

Chad Kiesow, Chief Operating Officer at Stewart's, said in a statement "This recognition is humbling. It also is an opportunity to recognize the dedication of the farmers who support us and our partners who work so hard to ensure our milk and ice cream are the best they can be.”

In the press release, Stewart's Shops notes that the awards for Best Flavored Milk and Best Chocolate Milk "shine a spotlight on the wide variety of Stewart's milk products" from their strawberry milk and iced latter milk to their premium eggnog.
