Warm Spring Weather Set to Finally Return to Hudson Valley

Looking outside you wouldn't think it was spring in the Hudson Valley, but that's all about to change -- finally.

After an abnormally warm end to winter, spring has been disappointing, to say the least. Some wacky weather patterns have made it difficult to figure out exactly what time of year it is.

In February the Hudson Valley went through a warm spell, with temperatures downright balmy at 50 degrees. It was the least snowiest February in history, which led to the promise of an early spring.

Of course, things drastically changed in March, with temperatures plummeting back down to freezing. The month continued to act more like a lion than a lamb, with snow still in the forecast for the first week of April.

Warmer Weather on the Way for the Hudson Valley

Thankfully, it appears that we can finally put away the snow shovels and winter coats this weekend, as temperatures begin to normalize. It will truly be spring-like on Monday, as temperatures rebound 20 degrees into next week.

The high at the end of this week will be in the low 40s, but next week will be in the 60s.

When Does the Warm Weather Begin in the Hudson Valley?

It appears that the weather will finally warm up just in time to head outside and observe the solar eclipse on Monday. On Saturday the high temperature will be 48, on Sunday it will be 57 and on Monday it will be 65.

The extended forecast shows that daytime temperatures aren't expected to dip below 60 degrees again in the foreseeable future. Instead, it will get even warmer, with highs in the 70s by the middle of next week.
