We may be inching closer to the summer months, but it sure doesn't feel like it.

The Hudson Valley hadn't had a dry weekend sans snow or rain since March 8th and 9th, 2025. Places like Albany, Syracuse or Saranac Lake went 27 weeks without a dry weekend. With their last nice weekend around November 16th and 17th, 2024.
Needless to say, the rain has really been throwing a wrench in our plans, especially when it comes to outdoor activities.
SplashDown Plans 2025 Season Opening, But Mother Nature Rains on Their Parade
SplashDown Beach, America's Biggest Little Waterpark, in Fishkill New York was all set to open on Memorial Day weekend 2025. However, due to a horribly rainy and quite chilly Memorial Day Weekend, SplashDown pushed back the opening.
Finally, by June they were ready to open up for the 2025 and fans were thrilled!
SplashDown guests couldn't wait to jump right into the wave pool, stand under the 500 gallon dumping bucket at Pelican Bay and float along the lazy river.
SplashDown Beach Extends Its Summer Season
While the park is open for the season, the constant rain has definitely put a damper on things causing the park to close random weekdays before school lets out for the year.
With that being said, SplashDown is doing what they can so their guests can get the maximum out of summer 2025. On June 18th, 2025, SplashDown took to their social media to share an updated forecast.
They write:
We pulled a few strings and now the forecast calls for an extended Summer! SplashDown Beach will now be open September 6th and 7th
