Remember When Spirit Christmas Opened in Poughkeepsie?

Back in November of 2024, rumors started to swirl that Spirit Halloween on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie (where the old Bed, Bath and Beyond used to be located) was going to turn into a winter wonderland.

The Spirit chain announced the launch of their new venture, Spirit Christmas.

The store would be decked out with holiday decor from Christmas trees and Ugly Sweaters to huge inflatables for your front lawn.

It appeared to happen over night, but one day in November Spirit Christmas officially opened up in the Hudson Valley to HUGE crowds.

Needless to say, the holiday spirit was high at Spirit Christmas in Poughkeepsie.

Will Spirit Christmas Return to the Hudson Valley in 2025?

The old Bed, Bath and Beyond in Poughkeepsie, is now home to a permanent store called Fly Deals. Usually Spirit locations will fill vacant buildings during the Halloween and holiday season.

What does this mean for Spirit Christmas in the Hudson Valley in 2025? We reached out to Spirit for more info.

Unfortanely, we'll have to wait until we are closer to the holiday season for concrete answers.

With that being said, 2024 was the first year for Spirit Christmas stores and they were a hit. Spirit announced on August 26th that the holiday store will return in 2025:

Spirit Halloween Opens 10 Locations in the Hudson Valley

Until we get word about Spirit Christmas, Hudson Valley residents can enjoy everything that Spirit Halloween has to offer.

All locations should be open by September.

When you walk inside your local Spirit Halloween you'll be greeted by Madison Scare Park,  a haunted subway platform brought to life through an "interactive design and eerie details."
