Serving Up Love! “Speed Dinking” Lands at Hudson Valley Pickleball Center

Who needs Speed Dating when you can go Speed Dinking!?

No, we didn't misspell drinking. Speed Dinking is all about finding love in the trendiest spot in the sports world... on the Pickleball Court.

Speed Dinking at Hudson Valley Pickleball in Poughkeepsie

Pickleball is the hottest sport right now. Athletes young and old are flocking to the nearest pickleball court to get in a game or 2 with their friends or strangers who later become friends.

With this in mind, Hudson Valley Pickleball and Golf Center in Poughkeepsie figured they would try to help locals find a love match on the Pickleball court.

Singles can mingle at Speed Dinking on Saturday, July 19th at Hudson Valley Pickleball and Golf Center in the South Hills plaza in Poughkeepsie.

Think Speed Dating with a pickleball twist. Dinking, mind out of the gutter, is a "controlled shot played from the non-volley zone (kitchen) that lands softly in the opponent's kitchen" according to the experts.

At Speed Dinking, singles will rotate Pickleball partners every 5 minutes. There are 2 Speed Dinking sessions for singles ages 40+ from 6 pm until 7:30 pm and then for ages 23 to 39 from 7:30 pm until 9 pm.

$30 for non-members and $20 for members, which includes 1 free drink.

If you're happily married or in a serious committed relationship, you can still enjoy a plethora of pickleball events.

Coming up in August Hudson Valley Pickleball will host their Summer Classic from August 1st through the 3rd.

Plus they have a state-of-the-art Golf Simulator that can be used daily for personal use and they also host tournaments throughout the year.
