Spackenkill Grad is TikTok's Favorite Derm Doc

A Spackenkill high school graduate is getting the spotlight thanks to TikTok and a major entertainment publication.

Who is The Spackenkill DermDoctor?

If you're on TikTok and watch endless hours of skin care routines (read: me) then you've probably seen the DermDoctor, also known as Dr. Muneeb Shah. His videos range from gross reaction videos (we're talking pimple popping, y'all) to helpful moisturizing and acne care videos.

After a few scrolls, I realized I recognize that face! Turns out we went to high school together in the Town of Poughkeepsie at Spackenkill. The DermDoctor was a year older than me, and cooler so he probably won't remember me, and graduated back in 2006.

It's great to see your former classmates go on to do big things. Back on January 30th, 2023, Dr. Shah was featured on E! News breaking down what beauty hacks you should be avoiding. Take a look:

TikTok's Hudson Valley Ties

This isn't the first time a graduate from the Hudson Valley has hit the big time on TikTok. Kate Norkeliunas is a Marist grad who is famous on TikTok for eating the most delicious foods, like sandwiches from Rossi's and Meals By Cug, who is also a big Rossi guy, is a graduate of New Paltz, and has quite a passionate following.

If you're on TikTok and live in the Mid-Hudson region I'm sure you've seen your town pop up on "Cute Day Trips From NYC" and realize why there's so much foot traffic on your favorite hiking trail or at your favorite donut shop.

It looks like Dr. Muneeb Shah no longer resides in the Hudson Valley. Shah is a partner at PC Dermatology in Mooresville, North Carolina.
