Tuesday didn't bring big inches of snow to most of the Hudson Valley, but it's still causing some major headaches.

Early Tuesday morning roads were covered in an icy slush, as overnight snow turned to ice and freezing rain. Route 9 in Dutchess County was mostly clear, with some areas turning slippery very fast. Side roads throughout the region are still a concern with extremely slippery conditions in some areas.

Schools started off with early 2-hour delays, with many of them quickly switching over to closures. Wappingers Central School District was the latest to change their status to closed for Tuesday.  You can read the full, updated list of closures on our Storm Center database.

Ice and freezing rain is expected to continue to fall throughout the day, switching back over to snow by the afternoon commute.
