Apple TV Show Films Across Hudson Valley in 2021

Back in 2021, the celebrity sightings across the Hudson Valley increased significantly as a new show began filming in the area.

Actor Ben Stiller put his director hat on for a new streaming show called Severance with an all star cast of Adam Scott, John Turturro and Christopher Walken.

At one point the show filmed on Main Street in Beacon and Stiller was nice enough to take time out of the shooting schedule to take a photo with Beacon police officers.

Season 1 of Severance began airing on February 18th, 2022 and fans were hooked. Season 2 was as no brainer and is on its way to a TV near you.

Did Season 2 of Severance Film in the Hudson Valley?

While many shows film across the region, sometimes they don't make it back for the following season. For instance Sex Lives of College Girls on HBO Max filmed in Poughkeepsie at Vassar College during season 1. However, they did not return for the following 2nd season.

Thankfully, Severance made it's way back to the Hudson Valley for season 2. Take a look at the trailer for the new season below. What local landmarks can you spot?

Season 2 of Severance Films at Kingston, New York Restaurant

If you were paying close attention to the trailer above, you may have notice a familiar restaurant front.

Adam Scott's character Mark Scout is seen walking hastily outside this Chinese restaurant that looks strikingly similar to Eng's in Kingston:

The team at Eng's confirmed that it is indeed their business in the background of the shot in the Severance season 2 trailer.

Eng's on Broadway in Kingston took to Instagram last week and wrote "We'll be excited to see Eng's make its appearance sometime this season" adding that the Severance team filmed "all over Kingston and the Hudson Valley."

They go on to write:

"as big fans of the show, we were so excited to be a part of it and see a glimpse of the meticulous detail, care, and creativity that went into its production. More to share when the episode airs and Eng's transforms into its alter-ego Zufu from Kier, PE."

It also looks like they may have filmed around Minnewaska Lake Preserve or one of the trails around it:

Fans of Severance can check out Season 2 when it airs on Apple TV on Friday, January 17th.
