The holiday weekend won’t be completely dry, but the forecast looks better and better.  We will have to call it a 50/50 split on the weekend forecast. Saturday is the better of the three days for sure. Part of the problem with the forecast has been the low-pressure system in the Gulf of Mexico.  How much moisture it picks up, has been varying the amount of moisture and the timing of the system.  So far, the system has been keeping most the unsettled weather on Sunday, but now the models keep the early hours of Monday morning a bit unsettled.

Here’s the latest forecast from the National Weather Service:

Saturday:  mostly sunny, with a high near 86.

Saturday night:  Mostly cloudy, low around 64 with scattered showers and thunderstorms.

Sunday:  Cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms.  It will be much cooler, high near 69.

Monday:  Scattered showers before 9am, otherwise, mostly cloudy with a high near 74.
