Rising country star Riley Green has a big summer ahead: The up-and-comer will be hitting the road with country superstar Brad Paisley, for Paisley's 2019 World Tour, and he couldn't be more excited about the opportunity.

"As a fan, that is a huge opportunity, because I just think he is a cool guy -- seems like my kind of guy," Green told The Boot on the red carpet at the 2019 ACM Awards. "Any guy that likes fishing [and the] outdoors, I am a fan of."

Of course, in addition to being on tour with one of his heroes, Green will have some serious work to do each night. As a newbie, he's hoping to make plenty of new fans at each tour stop.

"You know, I get to get in front of his fans and maybe try to win a few of them over," Green adds, "and probably, more than anything, learn how somebody that has done it for that long runs a big tour like that, because I've never done one."

Paisley's 2019 World Tour will begin on May 30 in Albuquerque, N.M. Stops in Rogers, Ark.; Cincinnati, Ohio; and other locations are scheduled through September. In addition to Green, Chris Lane is an opening act on the trek.

A Jacksonville, Ala., native, Green released his first major-label EP with Big Machine in 2018. His debut single, "There Was This Girl," recently hit No. 1 on the Mediabase country chart; next, he'll release "In Love By Now."
