Report: Beards are Gross

Ladies and gentlemen please pay attention.

Beards are gross.

I'm as shocked as you are. Believe me, I'm a beard fan. The thicker the beard, the hotter the guy.

I mean, Jason Mamoma? Imagine him without a beard. Unfathomable.

Jim from The Office? No doubt his hottness went up 65% more (he was adorable to begin with okay!?) when he grew out the beard.

Drake? His music is alright but his beard is so perfectly trimmed it makes me forget his DeGrassi days.

With that being said, beards are gross. It's been scientifically proven.

ABC7 NY is reporting men's beards "carry more germs than dogs." Researchers tested facial hair from men to several different dog breads and found that the beards carried a "significantly higher bacterial load."

They also report that some of the beards came back positive for microbes that could "actually posed a threat to human health."

However, experts tell ABC 7 that men should shampoo their beards regularly.

Men please do what you have to to save those beards from grossness. We (okay, maybe just some of us) women love your beards and don't want to see you shave it off.

Long live the beards.
