RaeLynn is one proud wife. The country singer and former The Voice contestant turned to social media on Tuesday (Feb. 14) to announce that her husband, Joshua Davis, has enlisted in the military.

"My husband has always supported me in everything that I've wanted to do, yesterday began a new adventure for us. Joshua left for basic training to serve in our military and serve his country," she posted to Instagram on Tuesday (Feb. 14).

That means the singer -- who married Davis on Feb. 27, 2016 -- is spending her first Valentine's Day as a married woman alone, but she's not complaining.

"Saying I'm proud doesn't scratch the surface of how I feel. I love his heart and the man that he is more and more every single day. I married up in every way. Please keep him in your prayers, thank you all for the support... prayers to all the families who have a loved one who serve. I'm thankful today for my HERO Josh and the best Valentine a wife could ask for. Miss you already," she writes.

Country Stars Who Have Served in the Military

The feisty young singer is already familiar with the sacrifices loved ones make for military service. Her brother serves in the U.S. Army Special Forces.

"I have a special connection with the special forces because my brother is in the special forces and he's been serving for a little bit now," RaeLynn told Fox News in 2016. "It's such an amazing sacrifice for any family that has somebody in any part of the military, and I just love to give back and be a voice for that because I know what it feels like to have my brother miss out on birthdays, Christmases. My brother wasn't at my wedding and it's definitely hard."

RaeLynn is set to release her new album, WildHorse, on March 24. She will open for her former coach on The Voice, Blake Shelton, on his Doing It to Country Songs Tour, which kicks off Feb. 16 in California.
