Pumpkin Spice Pizza Is a Thing
At 4:02pm Friday, September 22nd it will officially be fall.
I'm one of those people who is super predictable when fall rolls around. Actually, whenever I get a whiff of pumpkin spice my heart beats a little faster. It's true. For example, we found out that a local Dunkin Donuts location was selling pumpkin spice early...I was in the drive thru 20 minutes later.
There are no pumpkin products I wont try. However, I think this is where I have to draw the line.
A pizza chain is now offering Pumpkin Spice Pizza. Yes, you read that correctly. Pumpkin Spice. Pizza.
Hmm.
I'm not sure how I feel about pumpkin spice ruining the sanctity of pizza. It's one thing to throw pineapple of a pizza, but pumpkin?
According to Delish, the pizza will be served at Villa Italian Kitchen, with the closest location for us being a satellite location at Albany International Airport.
The pizza will have a layer of pumpkin pie filling on top of pizza dough. Then it's topped with mozzarella and some more pumpkin pie filling along with cinnamon and nutmeg.
A slice will run you $4.09.
Does anyone need a ride to the airport?
