A 67 year old man has be charged with a couple of felonies.

According to the Daily Freeman, the man, Richard Gijanto has been charged with two felonies, grand larceny and falsifying business records.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office told the Freeman that Gijanto alledgedly stole more than $68,000 from the Lake George American Legion Post 374 over the cousre of a 6 year period.

The sheriffs office also said that Gijanto stole the almost $70,000 from the post’s checking accounts and that he is also being accused of using another member of the American Legion posts credit card to charge personal items worth $10,000.

The upstate veterans organization found out about the missing money after they hired a fraud examiner to review the posts records and that's when the missing funds we noticed and police were notified.

Gijanto was arrested and arrianged in court and is currlently out on bail and is due back in court at a later date.
