Police: Hudson Valley Man Stole Over $15,000 From Grocery Store

A Hudson Valley man is accused of stealing from a local grocery store on Christmas.

On Dec. 25, 54-year-old Gary Klopchin of Eldred allegedly entered the Pecks Market grocery store located on Proctor Road in the Town of Highland and stole over $15,000 from the business.

Klopchin was located in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania where he was arrested and remanded to Luzerne County Jail awaiting extradition back to New York. He was charged with third-degree grand larceny, a felony.
