Police: Dutchess County Man Owned Many Computers With Child Porn
A Dutchess County man is behind bars accused of owning child porn.
On Tuesday, New York State Police from Poughkeepsie arrested 69-year-old Leo O. Baltazar, of Beekman for possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child, a felony.
Baltazar was arrested following an investigation conducted by the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
In April of 2017, Baltazar arrived at State Police headquarters and provided police with computer equipment from his home that revealed numerous pornographic images involving children, police say.
On Tuesday, a search warrant was executed at Baltazar’s home where additional computer equipment was seized for an evaluation.
Baltazar was arraigned in the Town of Pleasant Valley Justice Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.
ICAC is a multiagency task force that combats the sexual exploitation of children via the internet.
