Pets of the Week With the Dutchess County SPCA

Every week, we learn about more animals who need good loving homes. Here’s just a few of them that are now available for adoption at the Dutchess County SPCA. In addition the Dutchess County SPCA is beginning the Barn Cat program. They want all of their cats to find their happily ever after. The Barn Cat program is the perfect solution for some of the former outdoor kitties or for independent cats who prefer to have room to explore and for alone time. All Barn Cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped…and ready for their next adventure!

Jeter.

Hello I'm Jeter, if you are looking for a canine friend that will sit and watch sports center with you I'm your guy. Not only do I like watching sports, I love playing fetch as well! If you take me home, that will be a grand slam for sure!

Hi my name is Marcus, and I am a young male who loves to play. Tennis balls are my favorite, and I will chase them every time you throw it, but I haven't quite gotten the concept to bring it back yet.. If you have the time and patience to teach me new tricks, we might just be the perfect pair.

Meet Gizmo! This friendly little guy will make you laugh all day long with his goofy personality. While he would do best as the only pet in the home, he will give you so much love that you wouldn't want anybody else! Come say HI to Gizmo today!

Hi I'm Nicki, and I love to sing! I am a very happy bird who loves to jam out to music; however, I do like a little peace and quiet every once in a while. I am a beautiful boy with who would love to go home.

Mabell.

Mabell is a senior female that is reserved and a little on the shy side. Don't let that fool you though, she will let you go right up to her and pet her - she loves attention! We hope that with a new home, will come a more confident and outgoing Mabell, but we also think she is perfect just the way she is.
