Parade Scheduled to Celebrate New York State Champions, the Monroe Woodbury Girls Softball Team

The first ever softball, or baseball, team in Monroe-Woodbury Little League history has won Districts, Sections, and now States. Congratulations to the Monroe-Woodbury 9-10 Girls Softball team.

They aren't done yet. They leave Saturday for Pennsylvania to compete for the Regional title. So a proper send-off is a great idea. The Village of Monroe and the Village of Woodbury will host a parade and ceremony to honor the girls Friday, August 7th at 6 pm.

They will  be marching down Millpond Parkway from Smithfield Court (near the library) to the Commuter Parking Lot.  Come out and show your support.  Let them know how proud we are of them!
