Earlier this week, the Palisades Center in West Nyack shared a sentimental milestone. The large shopping center shared that they celebrated their 27th birthday on March 4th.

The Palisades Center shared some amazing throwback photos on social media that include shots of stores and restaurants like Jeepers and a NASCAR arcade:

On this day in 1998, Palisades Center opened its doors, becoming a go- to destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment in the Hudson Valley ! For 27 years, we’ve been creating unforgettable experiences and growing with our community.

The West Nyack mall is still thriving in 2025.

While The Palisades Center still gets foot traffic from shoppers, other malls across the state aren't as lucky.

The mall had become the setting of a Westchester, NY cable access TV show called “What’s in Store.” The products, fashion and mall culture were on display.
