An Orange County man was arrested for DWIA and was allegedly in possession of an assortment of drugs.

New York State Police at Monroe stopped a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Bartholomew Atkinson of Monroe for various traffic offenses. Police say, Atkinson was found to be in possession of over an ounce of concentrated cannabis after being arrested for driving while ability impaired by drugs.

Atkinson was also allegedly found to be in possession of a number of suboxone tablets, several prescription medications outside of their original container and over 4 ounces of marijuana

Atkinson was charged with 4th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felony, 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, 4th-degree criminal possession of a marijuana, misdemeanors, and several vehicle and traffic related offenses.

Atkinson was arraigned at Town of Monroe Court and remanded to the Orange County Jail on $15,000 cash bail and $30,000 bond.
