DoorDash Dives Into Halloween Stats
Halloween is quickly approaching, are you ready? Do you have all your candy already or do you wait until the last minute (because you'll eat it all)?
Either way, the following information should be helpful before the big day.
DoorDash has been doing intensive research when it comes to Halloween candy and what are the most popular trends in 2025.
According to their research Reese's Peanut Butter Cups "holds the crown as top Halloween Candy" but, and it's a big but DoorDash says their pick for "one of 2025s treats’ based on recent fall orders: Hershey’s Cookies ‘N’ Creme."
Additionally, 90s nostalgia is popping this year Baby Bottle Pop orders and Dum-Dums are seeing a spike in sales.
Another random Halloween candy stat for this year? Strawberry Bon Bons, aka grandma candy, saw a sales spike of more than 600% !
What Is The Most Popular Halloween Candy in New York?
There are a handful of publications that have crunch the numbers and have revealed the most popular Halloween candy by state.
Earlier this month we learned that one report stated that Sour Patch Kids were the most popular Halloween candy in the Empire State.

However...DoorDash says their numbers prove different.
DoorDash is reporting that New Yorker's are loving Twizzlers for the 2025 Halloween season. Twizzlers are getting love from not only New York, but Michigan, Pennsylvania and Ohio.
Our friends in Connecticut are loving Trolli gummies worms and other assorted creatures.
The DoorDash website explains they collected ordering data from October 2024 and ordering data from August 1st through September 10th 2025.
What will the trend be for 2026? I guess we'll have to wait and see.
